boy is my face red

If you had the unfortunate opportunity to read Friday's post you may have felt you experienced a bit of deja-vu. Well, you aren't going crazy since I did almost the exact same post a couple of weeks ago here. The saddest part of this whole affair isn't that I posted about the same thing twice, its that I had the opportunity to write something better the second time around and somehow I managed to write almost the EXACT SAME THING! Lets just chalk this one up to it being a Friday and I had just taken a nap in my car at lunch and wasn't fully awake yet.

Let's just pretend the whole thing never happened. Thank you.

Helping out.

The best way to keep a toddler out of trouble is to keep them busy. A bored toddler is a dangerous thing to have around the house, one minute they're sitting contentedly, the next you've got a shoe full of water and potting soil, marker all over the walls and a cat who refuses to leave the basement ever again. It doesn't take much really, just a few simple tasks and you've got yourself 3 1/2 minutes of blissful peace and quiet.

Here we convinced B that it would be fun to set the table for dinner. B actually did a pretty good job but apparently she invited some guests and it looks like we might all have incontinence issues.

beach day

It seems like every time I'm away on a nice day, Marcy and B make the short drive to the Pemaquid beach for some fun in the sun/sand. Thats fine by me because I find going to the beach about as alluring as going to the dentist. Except, when you leave the dentist you have a nice clean, fresh set of choppers. When I leave the beach I have sand in my vagina. nuff said

bubbles bubbles

In our house, there is only one living organism able to hand repetition as well as Brynna. That, or course, would be Chancy-pants. The other day B got out her bubbles and blew them for Chance to catch. Observe:

This went on for well over a half an hour.

comedy embargo

Recently, I've been getting the feeling that my sense of humor wasn't getting enough respect here in the office despite the constant laughing that ensues. As a result, I've decided to institute a comedy embargo, on a Friday no-less. I suspect that they will be begging for me to be funny very soon. Ungrateful sons a bitches.

Planting tomato seeds with Mommy

Tis spring (at least according to the calendar) and it's family tradition to use this time to get a head start on the plants for the vegetable garden so that we have ample time to neglect them later in the season. To this end, Marcy and B planted this season's tomato seeds last week. If history has proven anything it is that B is great at filling things with dirt (and poop if you remember Marcy's shoe) so she was tasked with filling all of the recycled yogurt containers (we're dirty hippies you know) with mulch.

With this vital task finally complete it's only a matter of time before we're enjoying some luscious tomatoes as they rot on the ground.

What a weekend!

Phew, glad that week is over. On Wednesday we got a call from our realtor asking us to show our house on Saturday, a full month before we were going to be ready to list it because of various projects we were trying to tie up around the house. We didn't want to miss a potential buyer though so I took Thursday and Friday (Marcy took Friday) off from work and put in 13-14 hours each day working on all of our projects. By Saturday the place was looking pretty sweet and ready to be shown. We didn't end up getting an offer but at least most of our "honey do" list is taken care of and the buying season is getting ready to begin.
